The Mormons continued to suffer persecution, and they moved again, this time to Nauvoo. Sadly, they would have to move again to avoid conflict. They also sent 500+ men to help fight the Mexican-American War. See below for class notes, etc:

Today, near the end of the term, we finished up talking about Lansford W. Hastings and his ill-advised Hasting's Cutoff. We learned a bit more about some of the parties that came into Utah, including the ill-fated Donner-Reed Party. See below for more info:
