Middle School Survey Today we began talking about the final blows that came which led the colonies to completely separate from Britain. It wasn't an easy thing, but it nevertheless occurred. The next section we covered today was Ch. 5.2: Building Colonial Unity. The British and the colonies continue to butt heads over the next several years. Gradually, even the more conservative members of the colonies begin to believe that Britain is out of line and overbearing. The fires of revolution are beginning to be lit... About the Class:Welcome to our U.S. History I class! During the course of this year, we’ll be studying the first major half of American history. From the Native Americans, all the way to the Civil War, we’ll be looking at how our country was founded, and how that history has affected us today.
